Resident Evil: Revelations 2 stars a certain Ms Redfield!

Standard

Finally gamers, one of the most bad ass women in survival horror will be back on our gaming screens! Claire Redfield will take the main character slot of Revelations 2 whilst being supported by none other than Barry, sorry I mean Moira Burton.  She is the previously unnamed daughter of STARS mainstay Barry “Jill Sandwich” Burton and will no doubt only add to the series mythology. Also, two main female characters? Yes please Capcom 🙂

Taken from Kotaku.co.uk:

Nattering with producer Michiteru Okabe, the piece reveals a number of enticing nuggets – not least of which is that Resident Evil: Revelations 2’s lead character is once again Claire Redfield.

But who’s she joined by? Well, I have to compose myself here because the excitement’s getting to me: Moira… Burton. That’s the daughter of Barry Burton, greatest game character of all time.

Moira takes more of a support role with most of the heavy lifting being done by ‘seasoned veteran’ Redfield, though you can play through the game in co-op.

Taking place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, Revelations 2 is supposedly more of a survival horror style of game than we’ve seen in recent Resi titles.

With the plan to make it a familiar-but-new experience, as explained by Okabe, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 also features a new, not-quite-zombie enemy type.

The Afflicted, as they’re being called, will require more strategic thinking from the player – or at least just a bit of planning – as they are quick and tough. Face up to them, stealth around their backs, leg it – the choice is yours.

Sounds more interesting than a shambling corpse-man, at least.

And finally, because I know some of you folks love this stuff, the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will run at 1080p, 60fps. Wahey!

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 arrives early 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC!
